Belt-Driven Conveyors by LEWCO

One of several types of conveyor systems, a Belt Conveyor uses a loop of carrying medium known as the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt rotates around two powered pulley systems, which then moves both the belt and the material on it forward. LEWCO offers various types of belt-driven conveyors, including the Standard Belt Conveyor, Belt Roller Conveyor, Poly-V Belt-Driven Conveyor, and the PBR Belt-Driven Conveyor. Each has different application and industry uses, so it's important to find the right one for you.

Low Profile Belt Conveyors
Low Profile Belt Conveyors

Economical slider bed belt that transfers products in packaging, sorting, testing, and assembly applications. The simple, economical design is extremely reliable, making it one of the most popular of all the powered conveyors.

Medium / Heavy Duty Belt Conveyors

The medium-duty option is ideal for applications involving transportation of packaging, sorting, testing, and assembly applications. Channel frame styles are capable of easily mating up with other conveyor styles. The heavy-duty option is great for industrial applications such as appliances, stamping, automotive, and assembly. The HDRB25 model is the most robust belt intended for extreme applications.

Cleated Belt Conveyors
Cleated Belt Conveyors

Designed for cleated belts, these can be used to carry items up an incline of 45 degrees and prevent items from falling. Ideal for conveying plastic, stampings, bags, and boxes.

Floor to Floor Belt Conveyors
Floor to Floor Belt Conveyors

Used to carry loads up and down inclines of 30 degrees. It can be used for heavier loads while using less power.

Curved Belt Conveyors

A powered curve belt is useful when product orientation is required through the curve. The belt prevents items from drifting and sliding through the turn, unlike roller curves.

Wire Mesh Belt Conveyors

Ideal when hot, cold, wet or oil-soaked items are being conveyed. Wire mesh conveyors are also ideal for transporting heavier load while using less power. Additionally, the open bed construction allows for free air flow for drying/cooling applications. Can be used to convey items up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Belt Roller Conveyors by LEWCO
Belt Roller Conveyors by LEWCO

LEWCO's Belt-Driven Live Roller Conveyors utilize a simple, flexible, and versatile method of transporting various loads with different weights and sizes. Essentially working as a gravity roller powered by a belt, the friction created by the belt drive creates a low-pressure way of gathering product. This allows users to stop products on the surface of the conveyor while the belt is still running. However, this specific type of conveyor is not well suited for inclines. Models Include: Medium-Duty: Medium-Duty Roller Conveyors use minimum pressure with an economical design. Ideal for medium to lightweight loads such as package, carton, or tote handling applications. Heavy-Duty: Heavy-Duty Roller Conveyors utilize the same minimum pressure accumulation system as the medium-duty conveyors but are more efficient for loads requiring higher capacity rollers on close centers. The BDLR26 model has the additional benefit of having rugged, heavy wall rollers. Curved: Utilizes tapered rollers so the product/item can maintain orientation through the curve and is ideal for light and medium-duty applications.

LEWCO Poly-V Conveyors
LEWCO Poly-V Conveyors

Poly-V Belt Driven Roller Conveyors use a V-belt and grooved hubs to convey heavy products such as heavy pallets, packages, drums, containers, and other unit loads. LEWCO offers two different Poly-V models: the PLV19 and the PLV25. The PLV19 can handle loads up to 200 pounds, while the PLV25 can handle loads up to 2,500 pounds. Additional benefits of the Poly-V Conveyors are that they are exceptionally quiet, capable of higher speeds, and inexpensive compared to the popular chain-driven live roller conveyors. Applications: Convey loads of cartons, totes, fixtures, cardboard boxes, Non-contact accumulation, Unitize pallet loads when bottom boards are perpendicular to rollers, Unitize pallet loads when bottom boards are parallel to rollers, Side loading/unloading, Accumulation of loads. Industries: Warehousing and Distribution, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Aerospace, Government and Military Agencies, Automotive, Parcel Handling, Appliance, Cabinetry and Furniture, Food and Beverage.

LEWCO PBR Conveyors
LEWCO PBR Conveyors

The Powered Round Belt Drive Conveyor is efficient, quiet, and ideal for lighter loads of 75 pounds or less. The single flat 24v motor connects to up to 16 rollers, each powered by a composite "O" ring/band. LEWCO's Powered Round Belt Drive Conveyors are simple to install and are often used in zero-pressure applications with curves, pop-up transfers, or spurs. LEWCO offers four different model variations of the PBR Conveyor, each with its own distinct purpose. Applications: Convey loads of cartons, totes, fixtures, cardboard boxes, Non-contact accumulation, Unitize Pallet loads when bottom boards are perpendicular to rollers, Unitize Pallet loads when bottom boards are parallel to rollers, Side loading/unloading, Accumulation of loads. Industries: Warehousing and Distribution, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Aerospace, Government and Military Agencies, Automotive, Parcel Handling, Appliance, Cabinetry and Furniture, Food and Beverage.

Efficient, simple, and inexpensive, LEWCO Belt Conveyors are the optimal choice for moving products from point A to point B. The flat, moving belt provides a simplicity to the conveyor that allows you to move items of a variety of shapes, sizes, and weights. Not only are belt conveyors convenient for transporting things long lengths with a single drive, but they are also exceptional at moving products through elevations. This gives users the ability to incline the belt conveyor from low to high, and decline the belt conveyor from high to low. Application and Industry Uses Include:

  • Convey loads of cartons, totes, fixtures, cardboard boxes, Non-contact accumulation, Zone based, Unit loads conveyed long distances, Pallet loads with bottoms not suitable for roller or chain conveyor, Incline/decline.
  • Warehousing and Distribution, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Aerospace, Government and Military Agencies, Automotive, Parcel Handling, Appliance, Cabinetry and Furniture, Food and Beverage.
