Series 6100 Galvanized "BEF"

The Series 6100 Galvanized "BEF" is a heavy-duty spring-driven cable reel built for demanding industrial crane electrification applications. It is a component-based system consisting of a galvanized cable drum, enclosed spring motor, IP65-rated slip ring assembly, and mounting flange — each engineered for long service life and ease of replacement.

Series 6100 Galvanized "BEF"
Cable Drum: Spring Motor: Slip Ring Assembly: Mounting Flange:
The cable drum is mounted on both sides with lifetime lubricated ball bearings. The galvanized flanges are also bolted to the drum body, which is coated with epoxy for corrosion protection. The spring motor utilizes special spring steel to guarantee long-life service. The springs, which are fully encapsulated, provide safe and easy handling and replacement. The advanced steel and spring technology will allow for approximately 100,000 movements. The slip ring is used for transferring control signals and electric power from the original supply to the cable reel. Designed for insulation group C, the "BEF" types are all rated at a 100% duty cycle. The ring is impact resistant and rated at IP65 for moisture and dust protection. The reference voltage and the operating voltage are 415 VAC to 660 VAC, respectively; and the current carrying capacity ranges from 50 mA to 150 A nominal at +30°C. A mounting flange is supplied and is exceptionally easy to install. Other additions are available such as cable roller guides, fixed or swivel guide arms, and back stops.
